Practice makes perfect. Thank you for organizing this. Isn't it a no-brainer?
I agree with you about students needing more time to practice. I believe the time to practice is at home and don't think it's practical to have students spending a lot of time in our computer labs on keyboarding, since those machines should be used for more powerful purposes. I hope we find that parents are willing to support this, monitor student progress, and get them going.
If students are not yet using Custom Typing, it is not yet time to give them usernames and passwords. Parents will help you keep track of this, so let's get some on board to make this manageable.
There is a report you can access when you are ready to have students log in to Custom Typing, but don't worry about this now.

I'd like to give my students one last WPM test. I would also like something to send home to
parents to encourage summer practice.
Thanks Susan, this sounds like a wonderful plan. I would like to do all four things mentioned in your email.
Do all grades provide a Custom Typing WPM score on EACH report card?
To answer your question,3rd-5th grade students receive a WPM score and techniques assessment on the report card.
Thank you for creating this.
Most of my students enjoy custom typing. Some really struggle with it though. I think they need more practice, but it is hard to find time to do it!

How do I get my students' usernames and passwords?
